Serpentine

Serpentine is a major rock-forming mineral and is found as a constituent in many metamorphic and igneous rocks. The name serpentine alludes to the surface pattern which resembles the skin of a snake. A magnesium silicate with a hardness of 3-5, serpentine minerals were used in the manufacture of fireproof fabrics and brake linings. Serpentine is good for diabetes, hypoglycemia, and the elimination of parasites. It also aids in meditation and spiritual exploration. Serpentine can be found in Peru, Norway, Russia, and the United States.
