Lots of Things to Be Excited About at The Fossil Cartel!
We’re excited for you to see our new website! We’re all abuzz here at The Fossil Cartel with the birth of our new baby. It’s been months in the making with many hours of labor and beaucoup patience. We are so grateful to Meagan Hope at 1010 Park Agency for helping us manage this project by helping us set it set up, create content, and walking us through the technical parts and trouble shooting. Many thanks go out to our resident sales associate and newfound website developer, Nick Carter.
Some great updates on the new website include:
- a search bar function that keeps you in the site versus being kicked out onto Google
- immediate shipping calculations
- immediate credit card or PayPal payment options
- alphabetized mineral menu — and more!
Why a new website?
We love the new layout and navigation of our new website and hope you find it easier to use than our former site, as well as more enjoyable. Your feedback is important to us, so please let us know how we’re doing and how we can improve your online shopping experience.
The other excitement around here is the new AC Marriott hotel that’s being built a half a block away from our store! The hotel is a positive sign of transformation for our block. SW Taylor St. between SW 2nd and 4th has a few “fixer” buildings that could use upgrades. With the hotel coming in, there will be more incentive for investors and building owners to improve their properties. Plus the extra tourists so close to the store will be a nice boon for our business as many of our walk-in customers are from out of town. The AC Hotel is geared to appeal to a more artsy clientele and Generation Y consumers seeking a hotel experience with a design-led sensibility.
We had a great first summer here at 333 SW Taylor. Thankfully, our old customers are finding our new location and new customers are finding us, too. We brought in some amazing new local material and our air conditioner worked well! Next week we take off for our annual buying trip to Denver, so please let us know if there’s anything we can pick up for you that we don’t ordinarily stock.
