Aura Quartz is natural quartz enhanced by humans to give it a vibrant iridescent quality. In a process called Chemical Vapor Deposition, crystals are heated to over 1600o F in a vacuum chamber with metal vapor. The metal atoms fuse to the quartz and give it a new finish, with the hue depending on the metal used: gold, silver, platinum, titanium, cobalt, nickel, niobium, or indium. Metaphysically, this stone facilitates self expression. |
