| Celestite From the Latin celeste, “heaven,” celestite forms beautiful transparent light- to medium-blue crystals. One of two principal ores of strontium (which produces the red in fireworks), it can also be colorless, golden brown and white, among other colors. Celestite can precipitate directly from sea water and is sometimes found in evaporate deposits. Fine specimens come from Madagascar, Mexico, Italy, Canada and the U.S. Metaphysically, celestite is used for creative perception and cleansing energy. |
