Dioptase Sterling Silver Pendant

This emerald-green mineral is relatively rare in occurrence, but is usually found within the oxidized portions of copper sulfide deposits. Superficially resembling an emerald, dioptase occurs in crystalline and massive aggregates, sometimes with other minerals such as quartz and chrysocolla. The most superb specimens are found in Kazakhstan, but other fine examples can be found in Iran, Namibia, and the US. Metaphysically, dioptase helps to support a positive attitude towards life.
