Gaspéite is a very rare nickel carbonate mineral featuring a vibrant apple green color. A member of the calcite family, it was named after the Gaspé Peninsula of Québec where it was found in 1977. However, Aboriginal Australians have traditionally used gaspeite found there as a vision stone, so it's been around quite a while.
