Description
Kyanite
Kyanite is a silicate named from the Greek kyanos, “dark blue,” for its beautiful color. Kyanite can also be green, black, or colorless, but mostly forms as elongated flattened blue blades. Kyanite is a major raw material for mullite, which is used in spark plugs and heat-resistant porcelains. Metaphysically, kyanite is used for communication and bridging relationships. Major deposits are found in Brazil, Switzerland, India and the USA.
