A well-preserved matching pair of leaf fossils, on either side of a cleavage inside the host rock, from the Green River formation in Uintah County, Utah, Eocene Epoch (56 to 33.9 million years ago).
Please see last photo for an idea of how the host rock looks together, with a crack down the middle where it separates into the two halves.
Whole host rock approx: 8″ H x 7″ W x 2″ D; smaller half 7 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ x 3/4″
