Lepidocrocite Faceted Bead Bracelet

Lepidocrocite is an iron oxide-hydroxide mineral that forms when iron-containing substances rust underwater, usually dark red to reddish brown in color. However, according to mindat.org, "reddish inclusions seen in quartz crystals are often labelled by the industry as "lepidocrocite," but are in fact normally hematite. We are unaware of any analytically confirmed red translucent scaly lepidocrocite as inclusions in quartz crystals." So what we have known as "lepidocrocite" is probably actually a pinkish hematite-included quartz.
