A rare pink gem variety of beryl, morganite’s pale pink to orange-pink hue is due to traces of manganese. Mostly found in Brazil and the Congo region of West Africa, the finest morganite comes from Madagascar, and it was named after American financier and gem enthusiast J.P. Morgan. Metaphysically, morganite is said to cleanse the heart, opening it to unconditional love. |
