Plesiosaur
Aka "Sea Dragon," plesiosaur was a marine reptile that lived in oceans all over the world from the Triassic to the end of the Cretaceous Period, approx. 65 - 228 million years ago. They were a top predator of the oceans at the time, with a broad flat body and a short tail, their limbs evolved into four long flippers. The largest known plesiosaur was over 80 feet long. Plesiosaurs were among the first fossil reptiles discovered.
