Shattuckite is an uncommon copper silicate hydroxide mineral that was originally discovered in Bisbee, Arizona in 1915. It is a secondary mineral that forms as an alteration of other minerals. This vibrant fibrous mineral can be found in copper deposits where it often times forms underneath quartz crystals along with other associated copper minerals such as malachite and azurite. Metaphysically, shattuckite is associated with the throat chakra allowing us to speak our truth and is also regarded as a powerful channeling stone. Those working in tarot, reiki, clairvoyance, and other energy-healing work benefit greatly from this mineral.
