Shiva Lingam

These stones come only from the Narmada River in Onkar Mandhata, India. Made of cryptocrystalline quartz and colored by iron oxides, they are tumbled naturally by the river, then gathered and hand-polished by locals. You may also recognize Shiva Lingams from the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom -- except the lingams in the movie have diamonds in them, and that only happens in Hollywood. The stone represents both male and female energies, life force, vitality and fertility. It has been a sacred icon to both ancient and modern people.
