TV Rock (Ulexite)
$9.00
TV Rock (ulexite) from California. The rock that inspired the invention of fiber optics, it is composed of boron and sodium. Quite interesting: it picks up whatever is beneath it and brings the image to the surface. Photo is sample. Approx. 1 1/2″ x 1″

Ulexite
Commonly known as TV Rock, ulexite is a colorless or white boron ore whose polished surface reproduces an image of whatever is beneath it. The natural parallel fibers of ulexite conduct light along their long axes by internal reflection, just like fiber optic cable. Found in California and Nevada, ulexite was named for the German chemist who first correctly analyzed it, Georg Ludwig Ulex. Meta-physically, ulexite is known as a stone of clairvoyance. |
