Variscite

Variscite is a relatively rare phosphate mineral, sometimes confused with turquoise, but it's usually greener than turquoise due to small amounts of trivalent chromium. It has been used in Europe to make personal ornaments, especially beads, since Neolithic times. It was named after Variscia, an old name for Vogtland, the German district where it was first discovered. Variscite is found in Australia, Utah, Nevada, Brazil and various parts of Europe. Metaphysically, variscite is a heart stone used for soothing and clarity.
