Wonderstone Slab

"Kanab Wonderstone" is sandstone found outside Kanab, Utah, formed 180-220 million years ago, colored by mineral springs containing iron oxides. Sawed into thin slabs, each piece is an original work of art, as if Mother Nature painted a landscape within the stone, hence the name "picture stone." "Kanab Goldenstone," found just over the border in Arizona, features dark iron banding and golden hues. "Arizona Sierra" is very similar to Kanab Goldenstone but is heat treated to oxidize the iron oxides, turning the stone an orange-red color. Metaphysically, sandstone is said to help with calming and creativity.
