Zincite is the mineral form of zinc oxide usually found in platy or granular masses. Its crystal form is rare in nature; most commercially available zincite is a by-product of zinc smelting in old smelters in Poland that are now closed. Zincite crystals can be colorless or can range in color from dark red, orange, or yellow to light green.
