Crab Fossil Nodule Pulalius vulgaris from Washington

This crab fossil nodule is a concretion (nodule of rock that forms around organic manner) with a crab fossil encased in the center. It eroded out of the Lincoln Creek Formation, found in Grays Harbor County on the Olympic Peninsula coast of Washington state. Very rare — we haven’t been able to get these for over 30 years! Includes both halves of the nodule.
Species Pulalius vulgaris, Late Eocene Epoch, approx. 38 – 34 million years old.
